Pick-up from your hotel for an early
flight to Izmir. Transfer to Istanbul
Airport, fly Izmir. After an hour
flight, arrive Izmir, meet your guide
and driver at the airport. Depart for
Pergamon. We will visit the celebrated
Roman city of Pergamon.
Itinerary:
DAY 1
Istanbul - Izmir, Pergamon - Kusadasi
Pick-up from your hotel for an early
flight to Izmir. Transfer to Istanbul
Airport, fly Izmir. After an hour
flight, arrive Izmir, meet your guide
and driver at the airport. Depart for
Pergamon. We will visit the celebrated
Roman city of Pergamon, the site of an
enormous library built with Roman tiles,
visit Asklepion and Acropolis, the place
where parchment was invented. We visit
the steep Theater, the Sacred Way and
other sites. Here we will also visit the
famed Red Basilica. After the tour, we
will drive to our hotel. Overnight in
Kusadasi.
DAY 2
Pamukkale - Hierapolis - Kusadasi
After having breakfast at the hotel,
journey inland to Pamukkale to enjoy the
spas, pools, and terraces of this
natural wonder, called the "Cotton
Castle". This name is truly fitting, the
brilliant white calcified terraces do
truly resemble a castle made of cotton.
We also spend time in Hieropolis, with
the one of the largest and most diverse
necropolis in the world. Lunch is
included in the tour. Transfer back to
our hotel and overnight in Kusadasi.
DAY 3 Priene
- Miletos - Didyma - Kusadasi
After having breakfast at the hotel,
depart for the first ancient city;
Priene which in its time was one of the
most spectacular of all the ancient
Ionians cities. Then travel on to
Miletus with its magnificent theatre and
the Byzantine fortress on the acropolis
above. Last, but not least, visit Didyma.
Here you will find the largest Ionic
Temple in the world, that of Apollo.
Also in Didyma lies the huge, cracked
head of Medusa which long ago fell from
the frieze. Lunch is included in the
tour. After the tour, drive back to our
hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.
DAY 4
Ephesus - Virgin Mary's House - Artemis
- Istanbul
After having breakfast at the hotel,
depart for a full day tour of Ephesus
and Virgin Mary's House. First, visit
the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one
of the seven wonders of the ancient
world. Then proceed to the Ancient City
of Ephesus where you will explore some
of the best preserved theatre, fountains
and buildings in the world. A definite
must while in Turkey. Then, not to be
forgotten is the House of the Virgin
Mary on top of Moutain. A pilgrimage
site for many people of all
denominations. Lunch is included in the
tour. After the tour, drive back to our
hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.
DAY 5
Kusadasi (Turkey) - Samos (Greece) -
Mykonos
Depart for Samos from Kusadasi in the
morning, after two hours boat ride
arrive Samos. Meet at the port, transfer
to our branch in Samos, free time till
afternoon ferry to Mykonos. In the
afternoon, ferry to Mykonos. Arrive
Mykonos late in the evening, meet at the
port, transfer to hotel. Overnight in
Mykonos.
DAY 6 Free
day at Mykonos
Free day at leisure to explore the
Mykonos town with its cobbled streets or
relax on one of its many beautiful
beaches. Overnight in Mykonos.
DAY 7 Free
day at Mykonos
Another free day at Mykonos, enjoy the
island. Overnight in Mykonos.
DAY 8
Mykonos - Pireaus (Athens)
Transfer to port for the noon ferry to
Athens. Arrive Athens on the same day.
